I have the honour to present in both official languages, the Seventeenth Report of the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans entitled “Challenges to the Sustainability of the Yukon Salmon Stocks”.
This study and its report examine an issue—the decline of Yukon River salmon and how we can restore this ecosystem-- that is of enormous importance to my constituents in the Yukon.
Thank you to the Clerk of the Committee, the many Members, Canadians, and Yukoners who participated in the study, and to the analysts who made this possible.
Pursuant to Standing Order 109 of the House of Commons, the Committee requests that the government table a comprehensive response to this report.
